6 weeks ago we were given an offer on our
Home...the first home we owned.
Since than sooo much has happened,
And on Friday May 9th we
Will be closing on the sale
Of our home.
Luckily, that doesn't make us
Homeless....
My great aunt sue
And uncle Clark offered their home
To us!
It is just the two of them in
The 5000 square foot
House, and they gave us
The entire basement to use until
We find a new house to buy....
This has been the biggest blessing,
Because renting on a short term lease
Is around 1900/month
For a two bedroom apartment....
And a lot of them don't allow dogs
(And we have two of those).
And to make it even better, she
Told us not to unpack any dishes,
Towels, pots pans etc...
She had the basement kitchen stocked with dishes
And the bathrooms had towels sitting on the counter
All ready for use.
The local lds church ward came over and helped us unpack the
Moving truck, and also came bearing cookies!
(A little different from where we just moved from...one guy showed up
To help us move stuff into the truck, and yes they had an email sent out days before the move)
The people here are so friendly,
Everyone says
Hello as you walk down the street...
When I did that in wheat ridge most people looked the other way.
We have been looking at afew different neighborhoods,
But all I will say is that we are going north!
Some people think we are crazy when we say we
Sold our home that we lived in
For 18 months...
But when we bought it, we knew we were getting
A great deal on it, and we knew we wanted to fix and flip
It for a profit....
Some people told us we were crazy when we set out
To do this in November 2012, and they didn't think it was possible.
With a little patience, a lot of work and a ton
Of weekends dedicated to projects...
As of tomorrow we will have achieved
What many told us was not going to happen.
Cheers to the many memories we made
In that amazing 102 year old home.
And congrats to the new owners...
I have met them, and it am so grateful the first two
Sales fell thru, because this is the family I wanna pass
This home onto!
Third time is definitely a charm!
