Closing the french doors on this project / 4th bedroom done

The fourth bedroom/playroom/guestroom is done!

Our contractor gave
us a good deal...and he did exceptional work!
framing began 3 weeks ago, and it would
not have
taken so long, but the painting kept me behind.

MONEY SAVING TIP:
If you have any contracting work done that
includes drywall etc...if you tell them you are going
to do all the priming/painting, they will give you a much better deal!

Here is the link to more "before" pics

Framing

Primed!
After the drywall was complete I had to prime it.
ALWAYS PRIME BARE DRYWALL BEFORE PAINTING!
If you skip the priming step, the drywall will suck up a ton
of your paint, and you will end up needing a lot more paint than
you would have, had you primed.
(And that equals more money in paint)

Painted
 The door came unprimed,
so I had to prime one side...let that dry
and than prime the other side and let that dry...
Paint one side...let that dry
and than paint the other side and let that dry...
Finished
And since there are two doors, I had to do that two times over!
FINALLY!  The walls are primed/painted, the doors are primed/painted..
Now I just need to add some large trim on
the outside wall (The trim on the inside of the room is done).

BEFORE...an extra long odd shaped room, missing some wood flooring and lacking trim
AFTER....a playroom with french doors.  More welcoming, more function, 4th bedroom=more home value!
