When we bought this home, it was a foreclosure
And therefore we bought it "as is".
A few of the water base heaters along the floor did not have covers...
At a cost of $22/ft.
It had to wait to be fixed, especially since we had about 28 feet that needed covers.
Shaun met a plumber that came in to his office, and Shaun asked
Him how much he would charge us to
Do the work.
You have to use a plumber, because they do not just sell covers...
You have to replace the whole system.
And when you replace the copper plumbing that runs thru
The heaters, you also have to "bleed" the pipes (whatever that means)
Along with all that, he had to weld the new copper piping to the old...which meant the use
Of a small blow torch.
All in all, it was an all day job and he only charged us
$450
Instead of A LOT more!
